Sinnersdorf and Oberwaldbauern were branches of the parish of Pinkafeld.
On 15 December 1941, the local pastoral office ‘Pinkafeld-Umgebung’ (Sinnersdorf) was established. This included: Sinnersdorf, Hochart, Wiesfleck, Schreibersdorf and Oberwaldbauern. On 1 March 1947, the pastoral care of the local pastoral office ‘Pinkafeld-Umgebung’ (Sinnersdorf) was reorganised. The pastoral care districts of Wiesfleck, Schreibersdorf and Weinberg were separated from the local pastoral care centre of Sinnersdorf and once again looked after by Pinkafeld. Since the establishment of the Diocese of Eisenstadt on 15 August 1960, the Sinnersdorf local chaplaincy, consisting of Sinnersdorf and Oberwalddorf, has belonged to the Diocese of Seckau-Graz, but continues to be served by Pinkafeld.
